Job Description
Operation Manager (Onshore/offshore)
Location: Nigeria
Our client a leading operator in Nigeria are currently recruiting for looking for an Operations Manager to join rapidly expanding team.
The Operations Manager is responsible for the safety, health and welfare of all personnel and plant on the facility, including the deployment and coordination of both operations staff, support staff and contractors. They work hard to ensure client satisfaction and consistent growth in revenue.
Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Planning and controlling the safe and efficient operation of the installation to meet the requirements and criteria set out in the Safety Case, Policies and Procedures, and Regulations & Class rules.
  • Inspections and surveys and that they are carried out to meet the requirements of the Certifying Authority and legislation.
  • Setting annual Operations and Maintenance Targets/ or milestones.
  • Customer requirements and contract safety terms and conditions being met.
  • Operating to the procedures in the Corporate Procedure Manual.
  • Reporting safety, health and environmental information and production statistics to management and Governmental Authorities.
  • Ensuring that personnel, including contractors, have adequate information to perform tasks and that control measures and precautions are adhered to.
  • Overseeing and ensuring that crew meet safety and emergency training requirements and are competent to carry out their duties.
  • Routinely inspecting operations to ensure the adequacy of the SMS, recommend improvements.
  • An adequate organization to respond to emergencies is maintained onboard, by means of the use of drills and simulations / exercises.
  • Ensure all persons on the facility are familiar with the Health, Safety and Environmental policy and its application on the installation.
  • Ensuring that maintenance supplies are controlled and that storage areas are safe, especially for hazardous materials.

  • Operational procedures and manuals.
  • Company Policies and Procedures.

  • The development and reviews of operational procedures and manuals.
  • Performing tasks in a safe and responsible manner.
Safety and Environmental Critical Activities
  • Management of Emergencies
  • Operate installation in accordance with operational safety case and associated procedures.
Additionally, authority and responsibilities as indicated in the Corporate Management System Documents apply.
Minimum Qualifications on Recruitment
  • 10 years experience with exposure to offshore and onshore oil and gas installation.
  • 5 years experience in a senior supervisory capacity
  • Combined Survival Fire Fighting /BOSIET medical certificate
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree or equivalent, Bachelors Degree Hons or equivalent
