Position Summary
Futures Group is looking for a motivated and creative Web Developer to join our growing software development team. If you want to work in an environment where your individual contribution is recognized then Futures Group is the place for you. We are looking for outstanding individuals who can work independently to solve complex problems. The Web Developer shall provide:
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with Project Managers to both develop detailed specification documents with clear project deliverables and timelines, and to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
Translate end user requirements into technical design specifications for development of a web portal to showcase live data from the National Data Repository
Develop interactive dashboards to work on desktops, tablets and mobile devices
Be familiar data import / export to / from various formats
Expert level in solving complex technical aspects of coding, design and integration
Implement software design components including coding, code documentation, unit testing, debugging
Follow software best practices in an Agile / SCRUM environment
Source Code Management
Communicate effectively (Email, Skype, Telephonic)
Support the Senior Technical Lead with technical architecture
Qualifications
Degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer Engineering or a related field
Demonstrated experience in Web Development, web development tools and web-based reporting for business intelligence
Demonstrated experience with requirements gathering, documentation, and conceptualization of solutions.
Expert knowledge in IT domains and ability to design and conduct end user trainings on related topics
Knowledge of various EMR in Nigeria is an added advantage
Experience working in all stages of the software development life cycle
Minimum of 4 years of demonstrated experience in web development
2+ years’ experience of working with Web APIs e.g. REST , Web Services
Knowledge of server-side expressions using JSON, XML and Client side scripting using HTML5 and JavaScript preferred.
2+ years of rapid web development, using HTML, CSS, PHP, ASP.Net, C#, and T-SQL.
Proven .NET experience as well as a solid understanding of Object Oriented Design and Programming.
A solid understanding of web application development processes, from the layout/user interface to relational database structures.
Knowledge of Content Management Systems, like Drupal, Joomla or Wordpress an added advantage
Strong organization skills to manage multiple timelines and complete tasks quickly within the constraints of clients’ timelines and budgets.
