Job Description

Job Title Business Manager – Dermatology & OTC
Location – Town / City Ilupeju, Lagos State
Location – Country Nigeria
Reporting To (Job Title) Marketing Director
Type of position Permanent
Job Purpose/Scope To set brand strategic direction and provide leadership and recommendations for the development and execution of brand marketing plans of assigned product portfolio in the Anglophone West Africa market

Key Responsibilities 1) Develop and implement brand strategy to achieve revenue, profit / market share and life cycle objectives for assigned brands in the Dermatology portfolio and Pharma commercialized OTC brands within the English speaking region of West Africa.
2) Review brand strategy periodically, to exploit positive changes in environment or to effectively manage constraints to its implementation for the achievement of brand / portfolio objectives
3) Launch new brands assigned to the portfolio to ensure future health of the company’s product portfolio.
4) Identify portfolio growth opportunities in the market to explore the commercial potentials of such opportunities
5) Manage external agencies to ensure that appropriate, accurate and timely brand messages are communicated to the right target audience, using the most appropriate cost-effective medium
6) Develop and despatch approved relevant brand promotional materials to the field force in a timely manner
7) Effectively manage cross-functional teams of internal customers e.g. sales, marketing research, medical, regulatory, demand management, etc to ensure an optimal mix of the key elements for the success of all brands in the portfolio
8) Actively participate in relevant medical conferences (local and international) to build a positive image for brands, encourage brand loyalty and share best practice learnings for the brands
9) Manage brands with extended brand teams (cross-functional) for best operational and strategic results
10) Train medical representatives on brand technical knowledge and brand selling to facilitate the attainment of brand sales objectives.
11) Train representatives-on-the-job to improve product knowledge and selling skills
12) Design all brand materials for internal and external communications in line with global/centre of excellence(CoE) brand standards and specifications .
13) Effectively manage medical, regulatory and marketing information on brands to achieve portfolio objectives in line with international medical marketing code and GSK global policy
14) Carry out above-the-line (ATL) or below-the-line (BTL) health educational programmes, where necessary, for the attainment of brand strategic objectives
15) Partner with and execute programmes in conjunction with all relevant stakeholders and professional bodies in order to increase share of voice for all brands in the assigned portfolio
Qualifications, Experience A good first degree
At least 5 years Sales experience (preferably in ethical pharmaceutical/cosmetic or consumer marketing)
