Job Summary

To Support a high availability Datacenter Infrastructure that supports the delivery of IT Services to all NLNG locations in a reliable and cost efficient manner. 

Responsibilities

• Provide Second level support for Server Services (Server Mgt, Central Storage, Active Directory, Email, Internet, Anti-Virus and Backup systems) within agreed SLAs 
• Implement Proactive and Reactive Maintenance plans to provide efficient and reliable IT Services 
• Operate and Review Operational Guidelines, Work Instructions and Server Knowledge base to Improve Service Delivery. Ensures that operational documentation for relevant system products is fit for purpose and current. 
• Develop and Manage Transactional Server Service Contacts to Ensure the smooth Running of IT Services 
• Participate in the development and deployment of Server Projects to ensure smooth transition to Operational Support 
• Participate in the periodic testing of the NLNG Disaster Recovery Plan testing to Ensure Business Continuity 
• Test solutions, hardware and software releases and Implement Approved Changes in line with relevant procedures and guidelines 
• Monitors Availability and Reliability of Server Services and Provide periodic Management reports 

Qualification and Requirement

• A good university degree in either Computer Engineering or Electronic/Electrical Engineering preferably backed up by relevant professional qualifications.  
• 5 - 7 years post graduation experience in IT.
