Qualifications and Requirements:

• A minimum of one year experience on-board tanker vessels are needed urgently by a shipping company in Apapa, Lagos to join as a crew on their big tanker vessels. 

Applicants must have the following certificates

• Basic STWC certificates
• i.e FPFF - Fire Fighting and Fire Prevention
• PST - Personal Survival techniques
• PSSR - Personal Safety and Social responsibilities
• EFA - Elementary First Aid
• OTF - Oil Tanker Familiarization
• AFF - Advanced Fire Fighting
• Advanced Medical
• GMDSS - Global Maritime Distress and Safety System
• PSCRB - Proficiency in Survival Craft and life Boat
• ARPA RADAR
• SSO (Ship Security Officer) / ISPS code / ISM (International Safety Management) code
• International Passport
• OOW unlimited / Chief Mate License
• CDC (Discharge Book)
• Yellow card
• ECDIS (not compulsory)
