Job Description
Senior Production Technologist - Permanent - Nigeria This is a permanent opportunity for a Senior Production Technologist to work in the technical studies/ asset teams and be based in Lagos, Nigeria. Reporting to the Asset Manager, you will provide technical and operational support on all production engineering, well intervention, drilling and completion matters to maximise recovery of our oil and gas reserves from both existing and new fields in your assigned areas. You will monitor and evaluate well, reservoir, facilities and field performance and actively engage in problem identification and solving. Part of your role will be to participate in the design and construction of wells and propose solutions to improve the efficiency of the well construction process. As such, you must be able to demonstrate an excellent working knowledge of production technology, production optimisation, well completion design, well intervention activities, and well modelling. You must be able to respond rapidly to many operational, production and drilling issues that arise and get along with other team members and functional peers. Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Physics, Mechanical, Chemical, Petroleum or Mining Engineering
- 10-15 years practical experience in production technology with an operating or specialist service company
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)
- Effective decision making abilities
- Experience of working in the Gulf of Guinea
